Schroon Lake Community Church

Our Vision Statement: With the Grace of God, through the word of Christ, and in the love of the Holy Spirit we will cultivate a deep spiritual life and vital community founded on unconditional never-ending love.

Our church is both United Methodist (UMC) and United Church of Christ (UCC).  It is our attempt to have wholeness in worship which should move us to social commitment and deep spiritual concerns with caring for one another as we try to walk in the footsteps of Christ.
It is our intention to be inclusive, creative, and outgoing as a congregation with open hearts and minds to serve others.  Everyone is welcome and we mean EVERYONE.
Our membership is active in reading scripture, using music, and sharing talent to make our worship time together more meaningful. Fellowship and hospitality are key to our mission to each other.
Schroon Lake Community Church is one of the leading congregations in the Schroon Lake area. We are a vibrant and accepting congregation dedicated to serving the spiritual, educational, and cultural needs of the surrounding community.

Our church is deeply invested in enhancing our spiritual growth and service to others. Anyone is welcome to come to join us for worship or any of our events.

In 2018 significant transformation of our Sanctuary was done with love by many members of our congregation.

On January 2nd, 2019 a fire destroyed our church. With God's love and guidance we will be rebuilding on the same property.  See Updates Here.

"For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39 (NRSV)

The purpose of the Women's Society is to support the United Methodist Church (UMC) and United Church of Christ (UCC) through our mission projects, to provide supportive fellowship and spiritual growth, and to know God.
We raise money to support the church and mission projects by holding a July bake sale, a Christmas bazaar and luncheon, and several other events.
The Schroon Lake Community Church Women's Society meets the second Wednesday of the month at noon during April, May, June, September, October, November, and December (Christmas party). These meetings include a business meeting, program, and fellowship time during lunch. Unless posted otherwise, bring a sandwich. Beverages plus dessert will be provided.
All women of the church are welcome.
