Specifically, we acknowledge that fully-qualified names can hardly be used for programming languages compiled into machine code, e.g., C and C++. For such languages, it is very hard to recognize and compare constructs found in source code with those in the distributed binary packages. But even in case of interpreted languages, the code of distributed packages can deviate significantly from its corresponding source code. JavaScript libraries running in browsers, for instance, are commonly minimized and obfuscated in order to reduce their download size, which makes it hard to relate constructs identified in source code to their counterparts in the distributed libraries. Such transformations are less common for JavaScript running on servers, e.g., in the Node.js runtime.
At the time of writing, we are working with other members of the SAP Security Research organization to experiment with machine-learning methods to automate the identification of fix commits. Such automated support has the potential to ease significantly the maintenance of a rich knowledge-base linking vulnerabilities to the corresponding source-code fixes. Our early attempts to tackle this problem are reported in Sabetta and Bezzi (2018), where source code changes are represented using a bag-of-words model; more recently we explored the use of AST embeddings and transfer learning in an approach called Commit2Vec (Cabrera Lozoya et al. 2019), but this very promising investigation is still in progress.

Additive manufacturing and 3D-printers is a type of technology that has been on the market since 1984. The technology has since then evolved, and it has become a phenomenon which industries all over the world actively use during production. This essay however covers the area of use for the machine, primarily production of tools for use in the industry, profitability and what risks the industry should be aware of. The sources used in this essay derive from the KTH library and interviews conducted with respondents from different companies working in the production industry. The result presented in this essay is that the profitability depends on area of usage and manufacturing volume. This essay portrays that mass production is not as profitable compared to when additive manufacturing is used when constructing prototypes or tools that are made-to-order.
In computational biology, inferring Gene regulatory networks (GRN) is rapidly expanding. Due to the size of the examined networks, many researchers use machine learning to infer GRN from gene expression data, typically from RNA-seq. However, the accuracy of such state-of-the-art methods still has room for improvement, especially for the time-series model. This research proposes two timeseries GRN inference models: GATv2 regression model and GATv2 link prediction model. The former model is based on the idea of conventional GRN inference model that regresses the target gene expression data by using candidate control gene data. The latter model is based on the usual link prediction method by Graph neural networks that performs the binarization task of whether edges exist between specific gene nodes. The GATv2 regression model performs well in a regression task. However, the accuracy of GRN inference is low, and it was almost the same as a random output. On the other hand, the GATv2 link prediction model performs well if the training data is correct enough. However, inferring gene regulatory relationships with high estimation accuracy is still a challenge in the field of GRN inference even for partial gene regulatory relationships. For that reason, the accuracy of the model has significantly decreased because of the need for more accuracy in the training data.
Practical implementations of deep reinforcement learning (deep RL) have been challenging due to an amplitude of factors, such as designing reward functions that cover every possible interaction. To address the heavy burden of robot reward engineering, we aim to leverage subjective human preferences gathered in the context of human-robot interaction, while taking advantage of a baseline reward function when available. By considering baseline objectives to be designed beforehand, we are able to narrow down the policy space, solely requesting human attention when their input matters the most. To allow for control over the optimization of different objectives, our approach contemplates a multi-objective setting. We achieve human-compliant policies by sequentially training an optimal policy from a baseline specification and collecting queries on pairs of trajectories. These policies are obtained by training a reward estimator to generate Pareto optimal policies that include human preferred behaviours. Our approach ensures sample efficiency and we conducted a user study to collect real human preferences, which we utilized to obtain a policy on a social navigation environment.
Infrared and visible image fusion targets generating one image with texture details from visible images and highlighted objects from the infrared images. It has been widely used in object recognition and object detection. The fusion methods can be divided into six categories: sparse representationbased, transform representation-based, auto-encoder-based, siamese networkbased, Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) based, and Generative Adversial Network (GAN) based methods. These categories of methods are summarized in the related work. As a popular method, CNN-based fusion made significant progress in infrared and visible image fusion, but it fails to extract global features from the source images. So in this work, A ViT-GAN-based fusion model, VTG-Fusion, is proposed to realize real-time infrared and visible image fusion with salient local and global features. Besides, quantitative and qualitative evaluations are conducted to evaluate the performance on the LLVIP dataset. The VTG model performs similarly or even better with state-of-the-art methods among eight evaluation metrics. Moreover, compared with the six typical fusion methods, the fused images generated by VTG-Fusion preserved the highlighted targets and more abundant texture features than the others. Most importantly, it is robust to the change of luminance. During the network design, several ablation experiments are conducted and the results prove the efficiency of the GAN-based structure and a variant of the vision transformer. An Axis infrared and visible image dataset is proposed in this work. The dataset consists of aligned infrared and visible image pairs with a resolution of 1290*960. And the scenarios contain indoor and outdoor, bright and dark scenes. The dataset contributes to the infrared and visible database with highquality images and contributes to the development of deep-learning-based infrared and visible image fusion models.

In fact, traditional methods, mostly developed in the second half of the XXth century, are being complemented, extended, and sometimes even completely replaced by faster, simpler, and often more accurate approaches. The new approaches, that we collectively label by machine learning, have their origins in the fields of informatics and artificial intelligence, but are making rapid inroads in all other branches of science. With this in mind, this Roadmap article, consisting of multiple contributions from experts across the field, discusses the use of machine learning in materials science, and share perspectives on current and future challenges in problems as diverse as the prediction of materials properties, the construction of force-fields, the development of exchange correlation functionals for density-functional theory, the solution of the many-body problem, and more. In spite of the already numerous and exciting success stories, we are just at the beginning of a long path that will reshape materials science for the many challenges of the XXIth century. 041b061a72
